Tribute gifts are a meaningful way to honor or remember an individual who has shared a connection with the Public Library and believes in the vital role it plays as the intellectual and cultural center of Los Angeles. Tribute gifts help to ensure the Los Angeles Public Library has the crucial resources needed to better serve and enrich the millions of library patrons who rely on its free resources every day for access to information, ideas, books, and technology.
Gifts in Honor: Family members and friends can make gifts to acknowledge someone and their love of the Los Angeles Public Library. Some choose to recognize birthdays, anniversaries, or other milestones with a tribute gift to the Library Foundation.
Gifts in Memoriam: Many are also inspired to make donations “in memoriam” as a tribute to a loved one, friend, or family member who has passed away. These gifts honor someone who was dedicated to the mission and legacy of the Los Angeles Public Library.
When you make a Tribute gift to the Library Foundation, a card will be sent to the person you wish to be notified of your gift. For gifts of $100 or more a commemorative bookplate with the message of your choice will be placed in a volume in Central Library.
