ABOUT THE CENTENNIAL CELEBRATION CAMPAIGN

In celebration of the 100th anniversary of the Richard J. Riordan Central Library, the Library Foundation of Los Angeles (LFLA) launches their Centennial Campaign—a once-in-a-century fundraising initiative to raise $10 million to propel the future of the Los Angeles Public Library (LAPL).

The campaign aims to expand existing LAPL programs and services and seed innovation for the future with investments in new technologies, spaces, and outreach that redefine the public library for the 21st century. Coinciding with Central 100, LAPL’s anniversary celebration, LFLA will mark this milestone with a year-long series of reimagined library-inspired events and programming, storytelling, and unique calls-to-action to raise funds that empower the next century of service.
