In a year marked by uncertainty and growing threats against literacy services, civic spaces, and access to truth, the Los Angeles Public Library (LAPL) continues to shine as a beacon of knowledge, community, and opportunity. Serving more than four million people each year across 73 branches, LAPL provides endless possibility through its free, high-caliber programs and resources.
As we look ahead to the 100th anniversary of the Richard J. Riordan Central Library in 2026, we’re launching the Light of Learning Fund, a once-in-a-century opportunity to honor the LAPL’s enduring legacy.
Your gift helps the Library expand what’s possible—funding programs that spark imagination, strengthen literacy, and create pathways to opportunity across our city. Together, we can ensure that the Library thrives for the next 100 years—a place where every story matters, and every Angeleno belongs.
The Light of Learning Fund
Give a gift of $25, $50, $100, $250 or more to the Light of Learning Fund by December 31, and your impact will go twice as far, thanks to a matching gift of $50,000 from the Harold and Colene Brown Family Foundation.
Review the available dinners and decide on your top choices. You’ll be assigned to one dinner based on availability and your ticket level.
If you are registering guests, please have their full names and email addresses ready.
Have your credit card on hand to complete your purchase.
Important: Please select a different dinner for each of your ranked choices. If you choose the same dinner multiple times and space is not available, we won’t be able to seat you at a dinner. In that case, your ticket will be processed as a donation, and you will not be assigned to a Feasts dinner.
