Thanks to LFLA, StoryWalks bring big, colorful picture books to life in parks, nature centers, and community spots all over Los Angeles. These fun, interactive outdoor reading adventures get kids moving, exploring, and falling in love with stories in a whole new way. A gift of $10, $25, or $50 equals the cost to buy tools to install a StoryWalk book, turning the great outdoors into the ultimate storybook playground! 🌳📖✨
$100 – LA Plays
Want to help spark a love of learning right at home? When you support LFLA, you’re helping LAPL circulate fun and interactive play kits filled with toys, books, and activities that bring early literacy to life for families. $100 is all it takes to create two LA Plays kits, packed with everything parents need to give their kids a head start on reading and play. It’s more than just a kit—it’s a doorway to endless learning and laughter!
$250 – Read Baby Read
LFLA is thrilled to support LAPL’s Read Baby Read program—where we’re helping babies get a head start on reading, even before they can say “book”! 📚👶 Through Read Baby Read, LAPL partners with hospitals, health clinics, daycares, and early childhood centers to give expectant parents and families with babies under one the tools they need to start reading early. For only $250, we can send 10 Read Baby Read kits packed with a baby-proof book, a baby Library card, a snuggly blanket, and expert tips to kickstart early literacy.
$500 – Children’s Performances
Get ready for giggles, stories, and a lot of library magic! LFLA supporters like you will help LAPL host nearly 250 awesome kids’ events next year—everything from puppets to music to jaw-dropping magic—at all 73 neighborhood branches. Just $500 brings one of these amazing performers to the stage and puts smiles on dozens of little faces.
$1,000 – We Read Together Spaces
Thanks to LFLA supporters like you, libraries across Los Angeles are creating wonder-filled worlds for kids to read, play, and grow! Inside these We Read Together Spaces, little ones can curl up with a book, build a tower, or dive into imaginative play—all while building important skills like creativity and problem-solving. A $1,000 gift adds up to the cost to furnish one of these magical corners with a story-time carpet, floor cushions, kid-friendly chairs, sensory toys, light cubes, and cozy nooks that invite laughter, learning, and lots of library fun! 📚✨🧸
