In this seminar,  join author Janet Fitch and discover how the great prose stylists produce their effects—and try out their methods and approaches for yourself.  Learn how to read as writers do and how to create your own stylistic experiments by actively engaging with the writers you love. For writers and readers alike!

Reservation and Wait-list Policy

LFLA Members will receive advance notice to make reservations, before being open to the general public.

Reservations will be taken until the program is full, at which point a waiting list will be maintained. If you or anyone in your party can no longer attend, please inform us ahead of time to the best of your ability so we can keep an accurate reservation count as well as accommodate other guests who wish to attend. If you are on the waiting list and a reserved guest cancels, the Library Foundation will contact you regarding availability.

Due to room capacity and the interactive nature of this program, program space will be limited to no more than 40. Once that capacity is reached, we will maintain a waitlist. If you need to cancel your reservation, please let us know as soon as possible.

The Studio City Library has an ample parking lot. There is also street parking available — please pay attention to parking signs.

Stacy Lieberman

As President and CEO of the Library Foundation of Los Angeles (LFLA), Stacy Lieberman is an innovative and inclusive leader whose career dwells at the intersection of arts and culture, lifelong learning, storytelling, and equitable access. Stacy guides the Foundation’s philanthropic and public-facing priorities to serve the Los Angeles Public Library, embracing the notion that libraries are beacons of democracy where everyone is welcome. She works intentionally with community leaders, donors, and internal and external strategic partners to raise awareness and resources for the Library and its life-changing initiatives.

With more than 20 years of experience as a senior executive, Stacy has left an indelible mark on iconic L.A. arts, non-profit, and educational institutions such as The Broad, the Autry Museum of the American West, and the Skirball Cultural Center. Building on an early career in book publishing, she has dedicated her professional life to sharing stories and broadening the reach of public institutions to welcome visitors and students of all ages and backgrounds to experience educational, arts, and cultural opportunities.
