**Please note: Advance reservations for this event have closed. 

  • If you are a Library Foundation Member and you have not yet RSVP’d, please show your Membership card at check-in for your admission +1. 
  • If you are an author from the Los Angeles Times Festival of Books, and you have not yet RSVP’d, please show your LATFOB author badge at check-in for admission.
  • If you are not a Member or LATFOB author, and would like to attend, you are welcome to attend with a guest by joining the Library Foundation at the check-in table. Membership; begins at $50/ year. Learn more here.

Join us for the 7th Annual Book Drop Bash – Los Angeles’ largest Library party of the year, celebrating the literary and cultural life of Los Angeles, at the historic Central Library!

On Saturday, April 21st, Members of the Library Foundation of Los Angeles join authors from the Los Angeles Times Festival of Books at the historic Central Library, after dark.

Bring a book with you and swap it out for a new one to take home; enjoy complimentary Oaxacan inspired food from X’tiosu Kitchen, local brews by Angel City Brewery, and delicious Blue Bottle Coffee while listening to tunes and enjoying the beautiful new Oaxacan murals on display in the Library’s Rotunda and participating in tequila tastings.

RSVP now to throw all of the Library rules out of the window and celebrate the 7th year of our legendary Book Swap, stay for the literary libations!

Contributor Members and higher will have first access to the Book Swap, and enjoy hors d’oeuvres and drinks in our VIP area.

All Members of the Library Foundation of Los Angeles and authors and presenters of the Los Angeles Times Book Prizes are invited. Non-Members may purchase a ticket that includes a one-year Membership.

Bring a book (or two, or three) that you’d like to leave behind for someone else to read, and take a new one home with you!

The event is free for all Members of the Library Foundation of Los Angeles. If you are not currently a Member, your admission includes a Membership for one year.

Stacy Lieberman

As President and CEO of the Library Foundation of Los Angeles (LFLA), Stacy Lieberman is an innovative and inclusive leader whose career dwells at the intersection of arts and culture, lifelong learning, storytelling, and equitable access. Stacy guides the Foundation’s philanthropic and public-facing priorities to serve the Los Angeles Public Library, embracing the notion that libraries are beacons of democracy where everyone is welcome. She works intentionally with community leaders, donors, and internal and external strategic partners to raise awareness and resources for the Library and its life-changing initiatives.

With more than 20 years of experience as a senior executive, Stacy has left an indelible mark on iconic L.A. arts, non-profit, and educational institutions such as The Broad, the Autry Museum of the American West, and the Skirball Cultural Center. Building on an early career in book publishing, she has dedicated her professional life to sharing stories and broadening the reach of public institutions to welcome visitors and students of all ages and backgrounds to experience educational, arts, and cultural opportunities.
