7:15pm – Valley Times Collection Photo Collection Tour

We invite you and a guest to join fellow Members of the Library Foundation of Los Angeles for an exclusive tour featuring the Valley Times photo collection with Los Angeles Public Library’s Senior Librarian Christina Rice.

Published from 1946 to 1970, the Valley Times documented life in the San Fernando Valley. In 1981, LAPL acquired the paper’s full photo archive of 82,000 images and later digitized it over the course of three years, thanks to generous supporters like you. This collection offers a vivid look at LA’s postwar growth and transformation.

Enjoy tasty bites, connect with fellow Library lovers, and explore this remarkable collection up close. Register today!
