Lost & Found at the Movies

Join the Library Foundation for a conversation series that celebrates the art of cinema and delves into the unexpected nooks and crannies of film culture, hosted and curated by Sundance Film Festival Senior Programmer John Nein.

Eclectic in theme and varying in form, Lost & Found at the Movies explores how we lose ourselves and find ourselves at the movies. We give the stage over to an array of themes and ideas inspired by the personal interests of guests, amongst them: John Landis, Karina Longworth, Alfred Molina, Molly Shannon, Mark and Jay Duplass, Lulu Wang, Buck Henry, Morgan Neville, Edward James Olmos, Tabitha Jackson, Jonathan Gold, and Miguel Arteta.

Each program plays out in surprising ways—through guests, film clips, ephemera, show-and-tell, photos, and even rare gems pulled from film archives. You never know what to expect. Take a look at upcoming and past programs.
