Support the LAPL Palisades Branch Recovery Fund

Literacy is life-changing, and the Los Angeles Public Library’s early-learning initiatives (for children ages 0-11) educate and empower parents and caregivers to support their kids on their literacy journey.

Guided by the values of play, curiosity, discovery, learning, community, diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging, LAPL provides safe spaces for children and families to play, learn, and read.

This program is made possible thanks to the generous support of:

  • The Thomas and Dorothy Leavey Foundation
  • Berger Family Foundation
  • The Boudjakdji Foundation
  • William H. Hannon Foundation
  • Lon V. Smith Foundation

"The librarians at our branch nurtured my toddlers' love of reading and stories and creativity. Now that my girls are older, going to the library feels like visiting old friends. We love our library!"
