Support the LAPL Palisades Branch Recovery Fund

Student Zones give kids—from kindergarten through high school—access to Homework Helpers, school supplies, internet, laptops, printers, and other tech at 38 library branches across L.A. They’re also safe spaces that offer support and stability.

Student Zones also provides part-time employment, training, and professional development to Homework Helpers who usually live in the communities of the libraries that they support.

This program is made possible thanks to the generous support of:

  • The Cecile and Fred Bartman Foundation
  • The Edythe Broad Endowed Fund for Students
  • Joseph Drown Foundation
  • Bagnard Family Foundation
  • Sanders Charitable Fund
  • Muriel Pollia Foundation
  • BMO Financial Group
  • Lynn Strasburg Miller Fund

“When my son started with his Homework Helper, he was struggling with reading. After a few months, he is now reading at an impressive 85 words per minute! Each session helped him build confidence and develop a love for reading.”
