Jeepneys

Jeepneys is a multidisciplinary artist residing between Los Angeles and outer-space. Jeepneys is named after colorful, iconic public transportation vehicles populating the Philippine islands, originating from discarded U.S. WWII army jeeps. In the spirit of decolonizing reinvention, Jeepneys uses Earthly materials to create other-worldly sounds, movements, and visuals, manifesting “electro Pinayism waves” that travel through space and time to heal and inspire love. Jeepneys has exhibited at REDCAT, MOMA PS1, and the Getty’s Pacific Standard Time Presents: LA Modern Architecture. She has toured worldwide and is a member of Black Salt Collective.
