Victoria Marks

Victoria Marks

Victoria Marks’ work migrates between choreo-portraits for individuals who don’t identify as dancers– and dances for and with dancers who fuel Marks’ inquiries into movement. Her work continuously returns to questions surrounding the representation of ability. Marks has been designing “Action Conversations,” dances for groups of people who would not normally be in a room together. A Guggenheim and Fulbright Fellow, and an Alpert Award winner, Marks has received numerous other grants and fellowships, and teaches dance at UCLA.
