The Library Foundation of Los Angeles, Zibby Books, and Friends of Westwood Library invite you to an afternoon with bestselling author, publisher, and podcast host Zibby Owens in celebration of her new memoir, Between Chapters. In conversation with celebrated psychotherapist and New York Times bestselling author Lori Gottlieb, join us for a thoughtful discussion of Owens’ memoir and the chapters it captures. 

A reception generously hosted by Friends of Westwood Library and book signing will follow the conversation.

Zibby Owens

Zibby Owens is the bestselling author and editor of seven books including Between Chapters: How I Started Over, Took Some Chances, and Found the Plot, Blank: A Novel, Bookends: A Memoir of Love, Loss, and Literature, and On Being Jewish Now: Reflections from Authors and Advocates, which has spent 29 weeks on the USA Today bestseller list. Zibby has interviewed more than 2,000 authors on her award-winning podcast Totally Booked with Zibby and weekly TV show Totally Booked on JBS. In 2021 she founded Zibby Media with the launch of boutique publishing house Zibby Publishing and unique year-round hosted retreats and events for book lovers. In 2023, she opened indie bookstore Zibby’s Bookshop in Santa Monica, CA.

Lori Gottlieb

Lori Gottlieb is a psychotherapist and New York Times bestselling author of Maybe You Should Talk to Someone, which has sold over three million copies and has been translated into over 30 languages.

In addition to her clinical practice, she writes The New York Times “Ask the Therapist” advice column and is co-host of the popular Dear Therapists podcast and the advice podcast Since You Asked. Stacy Lieberman

As President and CEO of the Library Foundation of Los Angeles (LFLA), Stacy Lieberman is an innovative and inclusive leader whose career dwells at the intersection of arts and culture, lifelong learning, storytelling, and equitable access.
