The Los Angeles Public Library has always championed the mission of free and open access to learning and resources for all, and this Saturday, October 24, downtown’s historic Central Library will join forces with Grand Ave’s bustling cultural corridor to offer all access to Angelenos. For one arts-packed day, 11 cultural organizations along Grand Ave will offer free performances, exhibitions, behind-the-scenes tours, and interactive, family-friendly activities.
From architectural tours of the newly opened The Broad, to live a cappella performances by the renowned Los Angeles Master Chorale in Walt Disney Concert Hall, to a working orchestra rehearsal of LA Opera’s production of Jake Heggie’s thrilling opera Moby-Dick, to free admission at MOCA, these downtown organizations among others have teamed up to spotlight L.A. as a home for world-class arts and culture. Here’s what is going on at Central Library and visit Grand Ave Arts for a full list of programs and more. And make sure to tag your adventures with #GrandAveArts!
