Summer Inspiration at the Library

From puppet musicals to the art of cupcakes, the Los Angeles Public Library will keep your creativity flowing all summer long with a range of free activities for children and adults. Whether looking to relax, listen, learn, or make, here’s a list of a few fun workshops, clubs, classes and more to inspire your summer.

Tuesdays and Thursdays at 10:30 am
Our volunteer instructor will teach you techniques to ease your tension and stress, and improve your balance and breathing.

 

Blue Coyote Writer’s Group
Will & Ariel Durant Branch Library
Thursdays at 1:00 pm
Share your original writings and critique those of others. Give and receive feedback in order to sharpen your writing skills. Please bring three double-spaced pages of writing to share with the group. Led by renowned author Jill Schary Robinson.

 

LACMA for Kids
Van Nuys Branch Library
Saturdays at 11:30 am
We are proud to present this special workshop for kids in association with LACMA, the Los Angeles County Museum of Art. Bring your kids every Saturday for a fun filled hour of art projects guided and instructed by LACMA’s creative instructors who will instill in your child an appreciation for art and creativity.
